Asset Types Overview

Asset Types are the categories in which assets and asset standards can be grouped.
Master osis types are out of the box (OOTB) asset types and cannot be deleted by OSIS Administrators.

Create or Edit an Asset Type

Open the OSIS Admin page (/osis/admin/) and scroll down to the Asset Management Section. Click Asset Types and then Click Add to start the creation process, or select one of the existing asset type to open up the edit form.

Key Fields:

  • Title: something use to identify the asset type.
  • Master OSIS Type: identifies whether this asset type is an OOTB asset type.
  • Description: a description of the asset type.
  • Is Asset Type: flag that makes this asset type available for use within OSIS.
